Shadows!

That's it....they're shadows of the deepest longings of my soul.

Lust- a shadow of the true intimacy I crave with my heavenly Father
TV- a shadow of the JOY i long for in life
xBox- a shadow of the discipline required for a Godward life.

They're all shadows...wax figures. They feel like the real thing, but are empty, hollow, and have no lasting trace of the reall thing they imitate.

I know this now. It's true. I desire intimacy, joy, and discipline in the deepest corners of my soul. Where is this found?

WORSHIPPING CHRIST- it is my heart's truest home. Where I find all that I need IN HIM and He reveals more of who He is to me...that I might know Him deeply, finding Joy in the Godward life He's called me to.
